My name is Reanne and I am an artist, musician, singer/song writer, Worship Arts pastor, illustrator, photographer, art/music teacher, first aid mental health coach, accounts clerk in insurance (my current full time job), and a proud mom of 2 beautiful girls. I live in little Charlottetown, PEI, but was born in Calgary, AB, then grew up here on the Island.
So I'm still considered to be "from away"!
WHERE IT ALL BEGAN
I started drawing and singing when I was 5 years old and have loved art and music ever since. Around the year 2000, I started to provide artistic services as I was getting requests to do murals and other special projects, and I always had opportunities to share music at church, home and school.
From there, I offered my artistic abilities and began to explore my own little business on the side as I worked other jobs.
In 2005, I completed my correspondence course with Art Instruction School, and graduated from Ambrose University with my music degree/voice. With that training in hand, I provided music/art lessons, completed more projects and requests. Over the years, I was given opportunities to partner in illustrating children's books with some great local authors, photograph a few weddings, provide art & music classes and more.
In 2015, I was ordained as a minister, and currently volunteer as the Worship Arts pastor in our local church. I love being able to work with others who have a passion for music and what they love to do. Together, we orchestrate beautiful projects/presentations of art and creativity on a weekly basis.
In 2023-2024, I began to take courses on mental health coaching, along with MH first aid. And I completed an Art Therapy practitioner course, which certified me to help begin to teach and help others through the power of the arts. (see Creative Therapy for more details)
ENDORA
Over the past few years, after some major changes in my life, I wanted to rename my on-the-side business, and I chose ENDORA.
Endora is the greek word for "light". You can interpret that as you like, but I believe that art can bring light and encouragement into any situation. It can bring hope, joy, peace, purpose, tranquility and enjoyment to this world. When we create things and share all kinds of art, we are spreading light that
this world could use more of.
MY INSPIRATION & PURPOSE
There have been many people along the way who have inspired me to continue to do what I love, especially my Grampy, Rev. Arnold Stairs, who today, still paints and draws at 98 years old!
Along with my faith and people like him, I have been inspired in so many ways to create and continue to do
what I love as it brings me so much joy.
In the process of providing musical/artistic opportunities/products, my heart's desire is to give back in any way possible. Whether I am selling canvas, or offering a class, a portion of my sales will be given to an organization, group or cause in order to help wherever possible. We all have something to give, so let's do our part even through the arts.
